On Tuesday, February 3rd, ABC Frankfurt attended the 2015 ChinaEU ICT high level meeting hold in EU headquarters, Brussels. European Commission Vice-President Katainen (for jobs, growth, investment and competitiveness), Vice-President Ansip (for digital single market) and High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini (for foreign affairs and security policy and commission) together with Senior Chinese and European Executives attended the meeting and discussed how to boost ICT investments in respective markets and strengthen cooperation in tandem with the next China-EU Summit.
This was the first time a group of Chinese company representatives met with their European counterparts at the headquarters of the European Commission. In the meeting, the discussions focused on the collaboration opportunities that can be generated through Chinese participation in the ambitious EU Investment Plan to mobilize some EUR 315bn of public and private investments in new strategic infrastructures.
Representatives from EU Commission encouraged Chinese companies and investors to join the EU Investment Plan by setting up joint-venture enterprises or through other channels. The representatives from Chinese company ZTE and China Mobile also expressed their intentions to develop extensive cooperation with EU Commission in high-tech and telecom fields. As a Chinese bank in Europe, ABC Frankfurt will do more efforts by providing financial and consulting services to support the investments of Chinese companies in Europe.
